Did any of you guys configured the cluster suite before actually installing clvm? The cluster suite needs to be up and running beforehand otherwise the purpose of clvm is totally defeated.

It seems that the cluster suite is dependent on clvm, so it cannot be installed until clvm is, leading to a catch-22.

Ian, could you please make sure to add --no-start --no-restart-on-upgrade to dh_installinit in feisty? I will take care to work on the SRU for dapper/edgy.

for the SRU team: note that this is the exact same fix that was applied to redhat-cluster-suite in dapper-updtates right when we found the problem 2 hours before release. clvm is suffering the same problem and needs to be addressed.

The installation of clvm works now in both dapper-proposed and edgy-proposed.

It also did not appear to cause any regressions, even after reboot.

This is ready to be uploaded to -updates on the 30th.

Hi there,

I'm having this issue now with Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty), after trying to install the Cluster Manager.
I'm not an expert user, and somehow in this thread I can't seem to find any kind of a "fix" for the bug... any assistance would be
appreciated!!

Thank you.
