Bug Description
On a drive partitioned with PowerQuest Partition Magic software there was an ext3 partition that was ending one cylinder further than the disk end (I don't know why did PQ PM set it so, but the partition was otherwise working flawlessly). Instead of detecting something, Parted showed this drive as unallocated! "Can't have a partition outside the disk" it said to GParted, and advices to report a bug.

Thank you for your bug report but I have a feeling that this is an upstream issue and nothing to do with Ubuntu. You may wish to post this directly to them.
