package gallery2 2.3-1ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: el subproceso script post-installation instalado devolvió el código de salida de error 1

I'm getting this when trying to install the gallery2 package (System upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10):

BTW: smarty appears to be in /usr/share/php, it looks similar but not identical to an older (fixed) bug.

I got the same error.
This seems to be a bug in the package post-installation script . This one might be related:

This bug was fixed in the package gallery2 - 2.3-1ubuntu4

I have no idea what you mean. I hit the link and got a match for lucid
(bottom of the list). That would be Ubuntu 10.04. Why you did not see
it, I do not know.

The link for lucid is STILL (now) the broken version:

This problem still seems to be there.

Never mind... it was other busted stuff on the system.
