I've just updated from 9.10 and this file can be played without any problem by ffplay before.

Please provide a sample of the file you are attempting to play. Are you saying that in 10.04 mplayer can play the file but ffplay does not, but in 9.10 ffplay can play the file?

confirmed, SBR support is not included in 0.5, but is in trunk. The
upcoming 0.6 release will include SBR support.

IIRC mplayer always prefers libfaad over ffaac

I cannot confirm this. I do hear sound with the attached sample, but
many warnings about missing SBR support.

Hi all

I've removed pulseaudio and re-test ffplay, I've got another result.
Instead of totally won't play, it is "Segmentation fault".

And I don't need to killall -9 the ffplay now.
