mplayer doesn't start (linking error) a52_resample

This will be fixed with the next mplayer upload but I have no idea how long this will take as some non-trivial changes need to be done before.

I can confirm. Uninstall mplayer. Update sources then reinstall. Change sources back to edgy and lock version. Get your mplayer back for now, and wait for the fix.

I know I can't wait that long without mplayer.

Recompiling mplayer with the ffmpeg headers also fixes it.

Building locally now. Then test it, and if successful: upload.

Source uploaded. Now we just have to wait for the buildds...

Isn't it typical that this happens the one time i REALLY need to use mencoder! :)

Just got the new mplayer from the repositories... it's all fixed up now :)

Still no luck on amd64. I just removed and reinstalled mplayer (doing a apt-get update in between), and still get the same error. Also, I just can't get mplayer to build from source on my amd64, it dies with the following errors:

The compilation error? Yes, I will open a new bug now.
The a52_resample error is still the same bug, I think, and the feeds hadn't been updated for the adm64 right now.

The compilation error on amd64 is the reason why the fixed version is not yet available on amd64 unfortunately :(
