Bug Description

- When testing the video input with the "Multimedia System Selector" I get a "little black window" !?

- If I click the "OK" button to finish the testing process, the "little black window" closes correctly but if I click directly the "X" button (Alt+F4) of the "little black window" the Multimedia System Selector closes too at the same time !?

How can I help to solve that problem?

NB: My webcam works fine with Ekiga and aMSN. Only this test fails.

Thanks for your bug. Please describe one issue by bug only that makes the triagers and maintainers job easier. The crash issue is bug #13033. About the input preview, what version of Ubuntu do you use? What videosink to the multimedia selector? What input device do you use?

Ok. Sorry for the 2 issues at the same time.

About the input preview:

- Version of Ubuntu: I have the same problem in the up to date Dapper 6.06.1 version and the up to date Edgy Beta version (6.10).

- videosink to the multimedia selector and input device:

Default Output Plugin -> Output: Autodetect
                                   -> Pipeline: autovideosink

Default Input Plugin -> Input: Video for Linux (v4l)
                                -> Pipeline: v4lsrc

I tried to change the values but in vain. I only get a "little back window".

Let me know if I answer you or if you need more information.

Regards.

That should be enough information, thank you. I'm setting it back to Unconfirmed, somebody with an input device confirming the issue should forward it upstream
