Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

Hello,

im using kubuntu edgy knot3. with amarok 1.4.3
If i want to add a new collection only the folders home and media appears in the root folder list.
So i dont know if that is a new feature or even a bug.
To add some custom files is not a problem, i cann access there all directories i would.

regards
L.

I can confirm this bug. It's frustrating that those extra directories don't appear in Amarok's collections, though. You can right-click->show hidden folders in Konqueror, but not in Amarok. I still think it's a valid bug, because the user is not given a way to access those files.

Ideally, right-click->show hidden folders would allow directories such as /mnt to become visible in Amarok's collections.

This is part of the new features in kubuntu 6.10 only the user accessable files are shown by default. If you store your music in a non-standard folder for users you are welcome to edit the .hidden file in your root directory to your liking, this will all be documented in the release notes of the final release, thanks
