Bug Description

Ubuntu Dapper with Edubuntu-desktop installed.

Gcompris on a system with locale English-gb is in US english using words such as color.

When changing the languageoption English-GB is listed but has the US flag - there is an English-ca option but no English-us.

I have checked the en_GB translation in Rosetta for gcompris and all occurrences of "color" have been translated correctly (to "colour"). So I guess the translation hasn't been released yet (the last edited date is 2006-07-23). The link to the translation is:
 https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+source/gcompris/+pots/gcompris/en_GB/+translate
(although you might need to be part of the translation team to see it)

This still leaves the issue of the flag.

I think the translation isn't being used - many languages are listed in the options but there is no English-US option listed (which seems very unlikely, especially as there is a Canadian English option).

In addition the text of the English-GB version is in US English, and English-GB is identified with the stars and stripes.

The flag mismatch was fixed the 2004-04-27, before release 6.0. I don't know on which release you tested.

I am adding EN_us locale with the US flag to the list in the configuration. It will be in upcomming GCompris 8.3.

I tested on Dapper. I don't have it here to confirm the version but
packages.ubuntu.com says 7.2-1ubuntu6 which would make it 7.2

This is fixed in gutsy (8.3.1-3ubuntu1). The English-gb has the british flag and if you restart after selecting it then it seems to pick up the translations (color->colour)
