Thanks for your bug report. Unfortunately your crash report does not contain a backtrace of the crash - can you try to get one with the help of http://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace ?

hello,

i tried to reproduce this bug.

Yes, it seems that gaim will crash when we *quit*.
I don't know why (i didn't try to backtrace it ATM).

I can confirm that the problem is in the galago plugin (i get the same error of Tolan).

BTW, galago works, if you try to get the status of a contact you will get it.

Although gaim keeps kicking off bug buddy reports the eds feed crash hasn't happened again.

I will keep an eye on it and see if I can work out how to reproduce if it happens again.

This first started happening after I installed a bunch of the edgy telelepathy and galago bits and bobs to try them out, but then again I had also done an upgrade of a fair chunk of packages today.

The (more consistent) gaim issue I have that may be related appears to be the same as #59530

A new libgalago, galago-daemon and gaim-galago are to hit the archive soon - it'd be nice if you could try with those and report back.

Erk sorry, I thought launchpad would strip that out like Roundup does :)

Well nothing seems to be crashing on first launch of gaim after logging in any more. I don't think it has for a day or two. I did have a crash on closing gaim today, though it was just gaim that crashed, so probably another issue.

Sorry to be so vague but that's all I can offer. I will keep an eye on it though and get more info if it happens again.

Do you still have the problem?

I don't actually have access to the computer at the moment. I'm moving to Spain and it moved before me, in October...

Perhaps close the bug and I'll re-open if I find the problem persists after updating the box (in Jan)?

Thanks for following up. Yeah, please follow up if you know if it crashes again. All the best in Spain.
