Bug Description

Kubuntu edgy beta1 and knot3 both offer national language choice for boot loader in live version. Unfortunately used font does not contain all required glyphs for Latvian language. Result - texts have empty spaces instead of non-latin glyphs. Some glyphs are present and are shown correctly.

I'm guessing this is a grub issue, please feel free to reassign.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release?

Could you rewrite one of these strings here, how it looks like and how it should looks like?
I suppose you cannot take a screenshot (except maybe with a digital camera).

Thanks in advance.

Re-assigning to syslinux as the live CD uses isolinux, not grub.

This version of Ubuntu (Edgy Eft) has reached end of life and is not supported anymore. So we are closing this report. If this is still an issue, can you try with latest Ubuntu release and re-open if needed ?

Thanks in advance and don't hesitate to fill any new bug you may find.
