I am having the same problem. Since upgrading Dapper to gnomebaker 0.6.0-0ubuntu1~dapper1, dvd iso burning is broken.

When I select "Burn DVD Image" from the tools menu and select an ISO file, Gnomebaker correctly shows me my DVD-R drive in the drop down box. However, when I click the start button, It ejects my CD reader and asks me to insert a disk into it!

This looks like Gnomebaker sourceforge bug #1522258.

This is a serious regression.

Patch is, to force Ubuntu use the old version of Gnomebaker. Forcing can be found be found in some menu of Synaptics. I dont know exact terms, cause I´m using finnish variant, but with that method I got my system back to rails.

Markus, you can look at the finnish http://forum.ubuntu-fi.org/index.php?topic=5856.0,
if you can finnish as can be presumed from your name.

Upon further investigation, this bug is caused by a patch that was added to 0.6:

http://gnomebaker.cvs.sourceforge.net/gnomebaker/gnomebaker/src/startdlg.c?r1=1.31&r2=1.32

Since readers don't appear in the list anymore, the logic behind devices_save_optionmenu doesn't work.

Could the patch be backed out in Dapper backports until upstream re-writes devices_save_optionmenu?
