Bug Description
to reproduce:
1. Boot CD
2. Press <F2> to select your language
3. Press <Enter> to start the installer
4. Follow the install procedure until it wants to install grub boot loader
FYI: System is a laptop, XP installed, 1/2 the space is already reserved for Linux

It works for many people, so you need to provide much more information. /var/log/syslog (or /var/log/ installer/ syslog if you've managed to boot into the new system) would be a good start.
