Bug Description

Files appearing in home folder corexxxxx (where xxxxx is a random number) should this be happening I have only had two programs crash since I started using edgy just after knot2 and just recently I notice 4 of these files. They are unopenable in gedit something about utf8 problem I will include screenshots of both for your viewing.

Those are core files. They are produced when a program SEGFAULTs. This is not a bug, although the contents of the core files may indicate a bug in whatever program produced it.

Thanks for your bugreport.

Those are leftovers from early apport/kernel versions. Just delete them, this shouldn't be happening anymore (but please reopen if the timestamps of the core files are very recent (within the last 10 days)).
