partitioning crashes in kubuntu install (edgy)

Bug Description

When I run kubuntu install from a fresh iso (edgy RC1), the kubuntu manual partitioning crashes when I choose "create partition" and when no empty block on the harddisk was selected.

I was able to reproduce this error.

Maybe useful information: I was installing under VMWare player.

Sounds like qtparted breakage to me.

Finally I might add that partitioning _did_ work when I selected a harddisk before continuing.

Might also be important: my system has no floppy drive

QtParted is unmaintained, so this will likely not be fixed.
KDE users are now recommended to use the "partionmanager" package to manage their paritions.
