Bug Description

Compiz hangs on logout. I will be asked if I want to kill the application (see screenshot).

viz: Clicking on the the (') menu in the top-right and selecting "Restart..."/"Restart to complete upgrade..." asks for confirmation, and then brings up a box complaining that the "Window Manager" is not responding and whether the user wishes to reboot anyway.

Since a normal user doesn't know what a Window Manager is, ideally the window manager should ensure that it can always respond and therefore allow the shutdown to proceed.

Confirming the issue there, activating the session option in ccsm doesn't make a difference

The problem is that compiz core's internal session management code is broken. the session plugin doesn't have anything to do with this (it just saves the position of windows)
