Bug Description
Binary package hint: xscreensaver
I have set xscreensaver to switch between a large number of the preinstalled screensavers.
My girl friend, a heavy sufferer of migraine, has observed that a large number of these screensavers trigger a migraine attack in her if she doesn't look away immediately. It's especially screensavers involving small, flickering geometric changes with shifting colours.
This makes standard installations a bit hostile towards sufferers of migraine.
Proposed action: The default selection of screensavers to switch between is limited to screensavers which don't trigger a seizure in migraine sufferers.
Maybe some sort of warning should be inserted in the description of those which do.
I suppose contact could be made to some organisation lige migraine.org.uk to ask them if they perceive this to be a problem which ought to be addressed.
Could you list which of these screensavers are preinstalled and troublesome? There are a lot of hacks, and any attempt to pick the headache-unfriendly ones would be pretty subjective.
