Bug Description

For background see http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=298719

Several of us are unable to get past mounting the installer iso in hd-media based installer images. It seems that something is broken in the initrd image for edgy. The mount command fails to mount the iso, caused by a problem with setting up the loopback device.

The installer script that fails is /var/lib/dpkg/info/iso-scan.postinst

Thanks for your report, and sorry about that. This was a busybox bug, now fixed in Feisty.

Is there a way to get this backported into edgy? Since edgy is a "production" release and the usb install is a documented feature I expect that many people will be beating their heads on walls trying to make this work.
