Binary package hint: ubiquity

Trying to install ubuntu from a usb / hard disk iso prepared using unetbootin but installer crashes at the end of selecting partitions to install, pressing the 'Install' button.

Running ubiquity with "sudo", "gksu" and "sudo su" all failed so how can this be a permissions error?

Any ideas on how to fix?

in "/usr/lib/ubiquity/plugins/" under line 83 (or anywhere in __init__) insert "self.extra_options = {}"
