Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I tried to install Linux Ubuntu 6.10 and the following message appeared:

We're sorry; the installer crashed. Could you please attach /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman to this bug, following the directions in http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs? Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid that there is nothing I can do about this without the requested log files. If you (the original reporter) can reproduce this bug with a current release and can get me the log files, feel free to reopen this bug. (Anyone else reading this who believes they have a similar problem should open a new bug instead.)

Thank you very much fr your interest in my case. I finally had no problem installing Linux: I rebooted the PC and started installing the OS as if there had been no trouble before. Linux was successfully installed in my computer and the partition of my disk with Windows was not harmed at all. I cannot explain it, but it didn't cause me any serious problems. Thanks in any case.
