Bug Description

When I try to install Ubuntu on my emachines T2792 computer (2.70 GHz Intel Celeron Processor, Intel Extreame Graphics 845GV, 768 MB DDR RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive Ultra DMA) it constantly crashes on random steps throughout the installation. I have not found any pattern. I've burned the Alternate CD twice, and checked both for integrity. Both passed. When I tried the Desktop CD, it gave me this error:

We're sorry; the installer crashed. Please file a new bug report at https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+filebug (do not attach your details to any existing bug) and a developer will attend to the problem as soon as possible. To help the developers understand what went wrong, include the following detail in your bug report, and attach the files /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman:

False alarm, there is no problem, except a problem with our computer's hardware. We recently bought the emachine from our neighbor, believing it's problems were caused by a Windows virus, and Linux would take care of the whole thing. We discovered however that he recently put in more RAM, so we took out that card and it fixed the problem right away.
