Bug Description
System: Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot 11.10 Alpha 2 64bit
Anjuta Version: 3.1.3
Compiling and running an existing project without opening its source files works perfectly. However, if the package valac is not installed, trying to open a .vala file results in anjuta to crash.
Instead of crashing, anjuta should require this package to be installed (either by dependency or by informing the user via dialog).
(In fact, this simple problem can be really confusing... I spend a while trying to configure anjuta and my project and searching for dependencies of my project before I found the simple cause ;) )

It's more like: "Ubuntu should take care to have the required dependencies of anjuta are installed!". If you build anjuta from source the vala plugin won't be build if vala isn't installed as it requires libvala-0.12.
