Bug Description

I am booting Ubuntu 11.10 Daily Build August 5th (the build may be from August 4th though), Unity 4.6.0 and I install CCSM 0.9.5.0, and when I change the settings for Unity they do not change, such as opacity or icon size, I drag the sidebar and nothing happens, I close ccsm, reopen it and rechange the things and nothing happens.

I never tried relogging but rebooting fixed it for me.

Yeah, logging out and in does the trick.
I don’t know neither why settings aren’t applied on-the-fly anymore.

Running unity --replace fixes this for me. Oddly, after doing this settings start getting updated on-the-fly once properly again.

Hi Daniel,
Yes I would do that. But do we have fix for 11.10 users?

Binu, Sometimes we are not sure what exactly fixed a certain bug in the development cycle, so in those cases it becomes really difficult for us to backport the fix to older version. Our current focus is Ubuntu 12.04 updates and 12.10 development so I believe only critical issues will be now considered for 11.10.
