Bug Description

The authorization dialog shows the checkboxes "Remember authorization" and "For this session only".
However the code never checks the state of the checkboxes so they are pretty useless.

UIFe approved. I always wondered why that didn't work. Please send upstream as well.

Is this the way of fixing bugs in (K)ubuntu? If the "remember authorization" checkbox does not work, we simply remove the checkbox instead of fixing the underlying problem?

Ok, for me this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. After five years, I'm out of Ubuntu. Debian, here I come.

I'm really amazed by your attitude towards free software developers.
You do realize that we work on Kubuntu in our spare time and for free?
You just can't criticize someone for not spending more time on something
that he does for free.
Also we are mostly distribution developers and not upstream developers.

The other question is whether you even want to have a "remember
authorization" feature.

That's a funny automatism that seems to be common these days:
Ubuntu is evil, Debian always does the right thing.

Unfortunately in this case the problem (broken checkbox) is shared
by all KDE-based distributions. Most of them (including Debian)
haven't even removed the checkbox.
