Bug Description

I am not sure what is going on but I think this is a bug, probably associated with missing icon libraries.

Anyway, installing gufw and running it (either sudo or as user) renders the GUI without the button icons.
The buttons are still functional and ufw appears to be working without problems.

Has the change from Gnome 2 to 3 libraries left Xubuntu users with pop-up windows (modal dialog windows) looking like they have come out of 1990? I am finding this on several applications including Synaptic.

Hi! I confirm this issue. I just tried Xubuntu 11.10 and Gufw hasn't icons.

In Ubuntu I have these icons:
/usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/actions/list-remove-symbolic.svg
/usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/actions/list-add-symbolic.svg
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/gdu-encrypted-lock.svg

In Xubuntu I haven't these icons.

It is probably associated with missing icon libraries. I don't know which library is missing :$ Any idea please? Thanks in advance!
Marcos.

@emilio Thanks by the help1

list-remove-symbolic & list-add-symbolic are in the gnome-icon-theme-symbolic package.
gdu-encrypted-lock is in the gnome-disk-utility.

@devid: Could you upload a new version yet? or is the repository closed?

Thanks.

Hi,

thanks. I installed the two missing packages and the problem is resolved.
Should they be dependencies for gufw or is it just assumed they will be
already installed on any *buntu system?

Dave

@slumbergod: Yes, it must be a dependence. But I don't like install the gnome-disk-utility package only by one icon. I think I'll package that icon in the next release.
Cheers!

thanks for sorting it out! I agree. It makes more sense just to include the
icon.
