Binary package hint: udev. I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 with latest updates. I guess you see all necessary information from attachments. During boot, I get error message: "udevd [80]: worker [XXX] did not accept message -1 (Connection refused), kill it". XXX is number around 240, see the picture.

I just got an eeePC 900 and put ubuntu-eee on it, and have noticed this issue. I noticed that it IS able to blank the screen when closing the lid, but changing the setting to suspend when closing the lid doesn't seem to have any effect. Is this the behavior you are seeing, too, or does the blank-screen setting not even work on yours?

I'm using Ubuntu Xenial 16.04 and my computer (ASUS M32BF) will randomly freeze up, sometimes before the login screen, sometimes while I'm in the middle of using a program. This sometimes happens on the Wily 15.10 live cd as well, and on both kernel 4.3.0-2, and kernel 4.2.0-22. Hello. I really want badly to get off the Windoze merry-go-round. Installed eeebuntu-NBR on my Asus eee PC 1000HA a few days ago, then tried to update. I can’t! Discovered this page in my search for an answer. NO WAY am I gonna mess with these ridiculous instructions…for as another poster said, this just ain’t right, especially for newbies.

Announcing the release of 2.6.24-21-eeepc as the standard kernel on the repository. This version was released as a beta weeks ago as a special download for EeePCs 901 and later. It was required because of changes to the wired/wireless drivers meant madwifi and atl2 modules would not work.

I'm seeing this only after upgrading from 11.04 to 12.04, after logging in.
