A python scripting library to automate telnet 5250 sessions for screen navigation and data extraction. The library is based on tn5250j project. Scripts are written in Python and run on a JVM with a Jython interpreter (tested on Linux and Windows).
This project could be usefull if you need to communicate with an AS400 host. Those environments are often closed and you are not able to access DB2 databases or job queues directly. The 5250 terminal emulation is always avalaible and could be your only way to "talk" to the server. bot5250 will give you a high-level scripting library to automate your 5250 sessions.
