Bug Description

https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/6/10/225
"MMC: commit dba3c29 ruins mmc card data on beagle-xm revB"

commit dba3c29 "mmc: omap_hsmmc: Enable Auto CMD12" introduced a severe regression that could severely wound the content of any sd card, and since beagle board usually boot off sd card, that could led to an unbootable system.

Incidentally i have an sd card were i could reproduce this bug 100%: reported it upstream, did some tests and the outcome was that dba3c29 should be reverted until the problem is better understood.

More discussion is going on here (where the revert was proposed/accepted): http://<email address hidden>/msg14987.html

3.5rc4 is affected by this problem.
