The problem still persists in the release candidates of v3.

BTW i use Win 7 x86, so this is not only x64 specific problem.

I'm not able to produce this with creating a test torrent with Japanese, Russian, and Arabic text in the folder name.
Could you test this on your system and tell if it displays correct characters or "?" blocks.

I should probably mention, if this matters, I'm currently using fszymanski build 3.0.0rc4 on Win 7 x64.

You should try an official build. This should work fine. It is possible the version you're using was compiled with wrong parameters or compiler.

This also worked as expected (with my test torrent) on debian official build qbittorrent 2.9.8.

Both builds (my and sledgehammer_999's) have problems with Japanese characters in loki's test torrent - Windows XP SP3 (Russian and Arabic - Ok!). My friend told me that under Windows 7 SP1 everything is alright.

This sounds like possibly, "East Asian Language Support" far beyond the scope of qbittorrent and not a fault in qbittorrent for not displaying these characters correctly.

You can reproduce thid bug with qBittorrent v2.9.11 and with this magnet link:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:7f9797214cdb9705758b34eedf1eac1ba59a3426&dn=Soldiers+of+Fortune+%2F+%CD%E0%E5%EC%ED%E8%F6%E8+%282012%29
Maybe my case is is magnet link specific. Loki's comment for Language settings is the other case.
Can some one else test qBittorrent 2.9.11 with Windows 7 SP1 x64/x32 with Bulgarian language settings and confirm the problem?

I try many torrents and when there is bulgarian(cyrillic ) title, the result is -

NOTE! When download finish and I restart qBittorrent manualy, the problem gone away and the name of the torrent become: Soldiers of Fortune 2012 BRRip XviD - CeLL.avi

So this is clearly qBittorent related problem/bug :)
