I'm running the latest updates as of April 2. I've received the same message since using the Beta.

Thank you for the follow-up. I'm using a ThinkPad T41p. The graphics card is
an ATI Mobility FireGL T2. The error occurs when enabling 3D acceleration
via the Restricted Drivers Manager. I am able to run the Desktop Effects
with poor performance via the standard drivers.

It is known that the ATI fglrx drivers do not support composite. Since it is a non-free driver, there is nothing we can do about it.
