Bug Description

Binary package hint: eclipse-rcp

The OSGi implementation of eclipse is now in it's own project (http://www.eclipse.org/equinox/). The plugins named org.eclipse.osgi* can be used independent of the eclipse platform the same way swt is now been used in other java projects. I hope osgi jars could be on it's own package so projects requiring eclipse osgi support could only depend on eclipse-equinox (a possible name) instead of eclipse-rcp. Hopefully those jars should be added to /usr/share/java when eclipse-equinox is installed, and when eclipse-rcp is installed it would add symlinks of those jars to /usr/lib/eclipse/plugins with the expected names.

This bug was fixed in the package eclipse - 3.5.1-0ubuntu3

---------------
eclipse (3.5.1-0ubuntu3) karmic; urgency=low

  * Configure eclipse properly for Software Updates (LP: #438414).
  * Split osgi jars in its own package (LP: #102717).
  * Add source jar files to packages.
