Bug Description

When I run devstack, I see:

Running setup.py egg_info for package python-quantumclient

    warning: no files found matching 'version.py'

seems likely to be a bug in setup.py

The warning appears only in python-quantumclient. It doesn't occur in quantum, as the file version.py is not listed in MANIFEST.in file.

I actually just add quantum as a project to be bug so that it shows up in our main quantum buglist. The bug report only states that the problem exists in python-quantumclient.
