There is a new version of ecl (available in Debian) that fix some bugs. Please include it in Ubuntu.

You could sync from debian/experimental. It's a perfectly valid version just not yet in unstable due to debian freeze

I'm going to merge the 12.12.1-3 version from Sid. I'll keep an eye to the package to see if the version in experimental is ready to come in Ubuntu. Keep in mind that this software vversion will be available in the future release of Ubuntu (saucy, 13.10), not the actually stable one (raring, 13.04).
