Well... Look like not enough memory for video card.

I think, it is not related to video memory. I just tried to switch it to 128M (from 64M) and got no effect.

Hello,
I think it is relatet with upgrade to 0.11.4 - in my case the textures (images) of Messier object are also gone. I tried to uninstall, remove config file and install again, with no luck.

My system is windows vista 32 bit.

Some times I get the nebulae textures and other times I don't.
Try switching between full screen --> window mode --> save settings --> search for M31 (for example) and see if any thing changes.

I get strange behavior. crash or no texture or normal behaviour or even misplaced texture as in the attachment.

Reproducing the same issue is hard but it happens occasionally.

It is interesting, I also work on Vista (but 64-bit). It seems to me I finally found a way around: to run the app with administrator privileges. It that case textures are shown. NTFS right seem to be ok.

I'm seeing (no pun intended) the same thing. Sometimes the nebula images will load or will not load. About a 80/20 ratio, if I would take a guess. 80% of the time they will load. 20% not. If one nebula texture loads, so will the others. It isn't selective regarding which ones load or not. It's all or nothing.

I'm not sure what conditions cause them to not load. But I can tell you this.

Sometimes toggling the flipping policy BLIT or FLIP back and forth fixes the problem temporarily. Seemingly..

Well, the best I can figure out is this.

If I cold start the system and have FLIP enabled. Stellarium seems to never draw the nebula images.

If I cold start the system and have BLIT enabled, the first run of Stellarium won't draw nebula images, but exiting and re-running it **will** result in what seems to be 100% reliability in drawing nebula images.

I have the same problem, even I'm using a 32bit Windows 7 laptop.
The nebula images appear only as faint images wich dissapear when I try to zoom in them.
The images are also in wrong places at the skymap. I'm not sure does my old java affect
on that, but I hope it doesn't.
