There seems nothing wrong. If you reboot is the install complete / everything works fine? Maybe you are one of those people affected by the bug that the popup "Install complete, reboot now?" does not appear?

As much as I can see, everythings seems fine if I start 12.10. But if I wait during the installation for 15 or more minutes (sometimes more than one hour), there are a few more steps done by ubiquity, but the installation is still not finishing. So it seems like a few steps are really not done by ubiquity and not that just this popup is missed.
Anyway, for me is this bug not very important, but for Ubuntu-beginner it could be really confusing, that the installation is not finishing (and the computer can not be shut down, except you do it with the terminal).
