Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntustudio-graphics

Hey,
ubuntustudio-graphics needs gimp-svg V 2.2.x!
People who installed Gimp V 2.3.x cannot install gimp-svg-2.2.x

I hope this is enought Information to "determinate" the Bug ;-)

If there anymore questions to me, ask me. But be warned, my English is very, very, very, bad.

GIMP v2.3.x is not in the Ubuntu repository

Version 2.2.13-1ubuntu4 is the latest version that Ubuntu provides, so this should not be a problem for people installing through the Ubuntu repositories. Installation of software that does not come through Ubuntu is not supported. If you have installed gimp 2.3 from another source, remove it and re-install gimp through the package management system.

I compiled it. And installed it with checkinstall.

Is there no other way? I need Gimp-2.3 but also ubuntustudio.

BTW: What will happen, when the new Gimp version comes in the repositories?
