Bug Description
Subscribers to bug 37255 recently received a strange e-mail notification:

Apparently an attachment had been added and then removed within five minutes, so Launchpad had batched the notifications. But the end result was that subscribers weren't being told anything useful, and were being (twice!) given a link that Launchpad knew would return a 404. This shouldn't happen.
