Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-15-generic

In the MacTel SVN there is a Intel Core CPU temperature monitor driver patch for 2.6.20 which is missing in the linux-image-2.6.20* kernel packages. Please apply that patch (patch name is 0001-coretemp.patch) and enable CONFIG_SENSORS_CORETEMP.

I'm reporting this against linux-image-2.6.20-15-generic but it probably apply to all the linux-image-2.6.20* packages. Also, I consider this to be a WISHLIST (even though it's quite important for me on my MacBook - it get's a little to hot and I can't monitor it nor change fan speed :).

This has already been fixed in kernel 2.6.22, the module is included in that and later versions (Gutsy). I should have closed it when gutsy was released and I found the module was included, sorry.

Per a decision made by the Ubuntu Kernel Team, bugs will longer be assigned to the ubuntu-kernel-team in Launchpad as part of the bug triage process. The ubuntu-kernel-team is being unassigned from this bug report. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies for more information. Thanks.
