Also: wengophone does not makes telephone calls. I use it to send sms only.

The latest version (2.1.1.dfsg0-4ubuntu1) should have fixed this issue.

Ciao Ludovico,
uso solo la versione standard di ubuntu, per cui non so come si fa a provare
altre versioni dei programmi. Poi ho smesso di usare wengo, perché funziona
malissimo (gli sms non arrivavano, e ora non si riesce più a collegarsi dopo
il login!) E' vero che manca ancora un'alternativa libera valida a skype!

Unfortunately a backport is not available yet. In the meanwhile you could try the binary version from the upstream website (http://dev.openwengo.com).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest release of Ubuntu - the Gustry Gibbon.

A backport to Ubuntu feisty (7.04) has been already requested. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports for more information.
