Bug Description

I was looking at the ubuntu specs and clicked on the uds-sevilla link on a spec and it took me to https://blueprints.beta.launchpad.net/sprints/uds-sevilla . I was looking for how to register myself for the meeting but didn't find the usual link and when looking under the meeting details I didn't see the usual list of attendees. I thought maybe I was on the wrong page so I clicked on the "UDS Sevilla 2007" in the breadcrumbs (green location bar) but it took me to the same page so I thought I was at the meeting overview but the LP gremlins stole the attendees portlet.

All this to say, perhaps the "UDS Sevilla 2007" link the breadcrumbs should go to https://beta.launchpad.net/sprints/uds-sevilla/ rather than https://blueprints.beta.launchpad.net/sprints/uds-sevilla as it says Home -> Meetings - UDS Sevilla 2007 rather then Home -> Bluprints -> UDS Sevilla 2007

mpt, please work your magic on this aweful bug report ;-)

I agree with you, and I proposed exactly this a month ago (that the links in the green bar take you to the Overview of that thing). The designer said no, however, reasoning that you're more likely to want to stay in the same application.

Changed in launchpad:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected

hmm, well can the breadcrumb be at least more descriptive, something like:
Home -> Blueprints -> UDS Sevilla 2007 for https://blueprints.beta.launchpad.net/sprints/uds-sevilla rather than Home -> Meetings -> UDS Sevilla 2007 . Arguing that people want to stay in an application (Blueprints) when clicking on a breadcrumb that not only has a different application (Meetings) in it, but doesn't even mention the intended application (Blueprints), is a bit odd.

Meetings is not an application, just like People and Projects and Distributions aren't. Currently blueprints are the only things that can be associated with meetings, but this may expand later.
