Bug Description
I compose worksheets for my pupils. I draw lines in the space where the answer is written.
I create the line using shift and hyphen.
If the line is the last thing on the row, SOMETIMES when I press enter, this line becomes an INDELIBLE BOLD LINE which is THE FULL
WIDTH OF THE PAGE and ALMOST UNDER THE LINE ABOVE.
This happens whether the line is newly created or copied.
It happens RANDOMLY but ONCE IT HAPPENS, IT USUALLY CONTINUES FOR THE REST OF THE DOCUMENT.
Sometimes it can be rectified by immediately pressing "undo".

These are special formatting lines, in your case most probably paragraph border lines.
I believe you have AutoFormat (see Format->AutoFormat) enabled.
With AutoFormat enabled these lines are added by typing (for example):
---<ENTER>
===<ENTER>
___<ENTER>
etc.etc.
Each of these lines will have a different style/width.
To disable this feature select Tools->AutoCorrect, choose the "Options" tab and under the [T] column deselect "Apply Border".
