Bug Description
On Mac OS X 10.6.8:
ω Centauri cluster, viewed at any FOV narrower than 35º
appears as a 2º 32x32 black and yellow checkerboard.
o on Ubuntu Linux 12.04, the checkerboard appears briefly,
then vanishes.
o does not happen with Stellarium 0.11.4.

By default placeholder are disabled but it's can be enabled for debugging since revision 5842. If texture cannot be displayed then you won't see checker board now: http://
