Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

I noticed when booting 2.6.22-1.5 that the "Uncompressing Linux...Ok, booting the kernel" message has returned, after it was patched out ages ago.

During our initial phase, all patches are being queued. Right now we have a bare stock 2.6.22 based kernel.

We'll be adding patches like this back in shortly.

This isn't how we merge any other package, and it seems like a rather risky approach. Do you have a plan for making sure nothing gets left out?

This is pretty much the same way we do every new kernel at start of devel cycle, just this time I wanted to get out a stock kernel as quickly as possible, and work in the msg patches later on.

Truely, the only patches we have to worry about committing at this point are "make the kernel quieter" ones. The others are already merged upstream, or are being pushed upstream. Numbers around 2-3 right now, and we are tracking those as well.
