Bug Description
Binary package hint: amarok
You have to have an account in www.last.fm to reproduce it and amarok properly configured to submit the music it plays.
Then, simply play any magnatune's music, and you'll get that these music plays are not going to be posted to last.fm.
The problem can also be magnatune's.

This is actually a design which is applicable to all Last.fm players. They will not scrobble (submit) any stream based plays. This is incentive to encourage players to buy more tracks.
You could try to use the last.fm "play artists like" feature to find artists with a similar style in last.fm and make your tastes known.
