I have been an Ubuntu desktop user, and I also have used it for testing various things before they go on the web as a server as well.

I have been using Linux in various forms since around 1997/8. I have been a member of the British Computer Society, and sometimes attend OSSG (Open Source Specialist Group) and Lonix meetings.

I have been using Xubuntu since the forcing of Unity and am slowly withdrawing Ubuntu from my devices to be replaced with other distro's (FC, Mint and back to Deb on server systems) due to less desirable shifting attitudes in the Ubuntu maintainers.

Other relevant interests, beyond software and Linux are robotics and music composition.
