update-manager crashed while checking dependencies

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I'm running Feisty. I clicked the update icon in the panel, and received the following error after update-manager tried to check dependencies:

'E:Problem parsing dependency Depends, E:Error occurred while processing thekompany-support (NewVersion1), E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/www.getautomatix.com_apt_dists_feisty_main_binary-i386_Packages, E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'

Please let me know if you want any further information, and how to get it for you.

We dont support automatix.

Sarah,

I knew as much. However, since update-manager requested that I file a bug, I
did so. When I tried to run Add/Remove after aptitude failed, I got some
more detailed information which may resolve the issue. Hopefully that will
prove more helpful than your response.
