Bug Description
Ubuntu 7.04 AMD-64 downloaded and install from CD:
If Ubuntu is already installed, it is not possible to make a clean reinstall without history effects.
Even though the partitions are antecedent deleted and new created during install procedure.
Example: after reboot the old version is still offered by the boot manager, and is still working!!

Thanks for reporting.
Can you describe exactly where the previous installation was (the partition) and which partition was made root for the new install ? Please give more detail (proof) about the co-existence of data from both installations as you said. Attach the file "menu.lst" or "grub.conf" found in /boot/grub
Thank you.
