Please retest with latest image, this should be fixed now that we're only using pulseaudio directly.

I have tested it today and it is not working.

On desktop images, the path for volume/mute hotkeys is: kernel -> X -> gnome-settings-daemon -> pulseaudio. On the touch image we're missing gnome-settings-daemon, and probably we're missing X too, soon.

What path do we expect the keys to take on a system running mir?

A duplicate bug of this one (bug 1219057) indicates that the previous path was using the indicator-sound somehow.

Sorry about the confusion. This bug is about the indicator, and that's fixed, the other one is about the physical hotkeys.
