That's because sysinfo looks in /etc/debian_version.
The /etc/lsb-release file contains the right informations about the Ubuntu version.

sysinfo.patch Edit (6.4 KiB, text/plain)

I've created a patch that corrects a few bugs

- references to website http://sysinfo.r8.org replaced by http://sourceforge.net/projects/gsysinfo (sysinfo.r8.org is not active anymore)
- about box could only be closed once, then it just produced a small rectangle
- crash when clicking on Nvidia icon
- use of lsb-release version information (now shows ubuntu release in stead of debian release on ubuntu)
- SystemInfo.cs contained a double + which made the build of the source package fail

I have not managed to enable the close button in the about box

Okay it says that too and Ubuntu uses the testing branch of Ubuntu so it's sort of correct i think, oh well,

website - i personally don't care that much, so thanks anyway..

about box thingie - no issue for me,

crash when clicking nvidia icon had it once, however it's due I believe to blocking agp modules and after I unblocked it from loading it works fine.

- SystemInfo.cs contained a double + which made the build of the source package fail - New info. for me and i was thinking of compiling it..

sysinfo (0.7-0ubuntu2) hardy; urgency=low
