Bug Description

In the cellular plugin, the carrier selection page does attempt to register on a network when selected, but doesn't provide any feedback while it is in process or for success/failure. The design does describe what needs to be implemented, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Networking#cellular-carrier

The back-end support for this setting hasn't yet been implemented in ofono/rilmodem.

It looks like now manual network selection works fine using a roaming SIM (Utopic #53)

The only feedback now is the selected item in the selector will get changed. If it fails the selected check doesn't get moved. This is the same behavior we see on other platforms as well.
