Binary package hint: gnome-app-install

In Feisty, the icons such as the Ubuntu logo in the description pane of the Add/Remove Programs box are not transparent. You can see this when applying changes, as the window goes greyish.

Thanks for taking the time to report the bug,
Would you be able to provide a screenshot of the situation that you are talking about, along with some information such as what theme you may be using, as well as what distribution of Ubuntu you are currently using?

Thanks,
Justin

Ah well I'm using a custom theme, I guess that might be why. I'm currently using Feisty 7.04 x64.

I know that this is a problem with selection too. Seems to be a problem of GTK. The TextView does not seem to transmit the status of the widget to child widgets.

Could you attach a small example to the bug and reassign to GTK then?

I should have looked at my code before accusing gtk. I hardcoded the background color since the image does not support transparency.
